Samuel J. (Jack) Kerr was born 1824 in Jefferson County, Tn. and died August, 1879 in Jefferson County. He married Harriett C. Lowery 1858. Samuel Jackson was a carpenter and always lived in Jefferson County. He died 1879 and his death is listed as consumption of the lungs. Shortly after he died, Harriett and Sarah were killed in a house fire. The boys were off hunting that night, and it has been rumored through the years that the fire was set to cover a murder and robbery.

2. Caldonna Kerr born April 4, 1862 in Jefferson County, Tn. and died February 7, Dandridge, Tn. She married Robert Lowery on September 29, 1879 in Jefferson County.
3. Salona Jenny Kerr born 1864.
4. Andrew Jackson Kerr born April 14, 1866 Jefferson County, Tn. and died June 25, 1942 Jefferson County.
5. Samuel J. Kerr born 1868.
6. Hugh Cawood Kerr born April 11, 1870 in Jefferson County, Tn. and died April 29, 1968 Jefferson County.
7. Sarah A. Kerr born 1876 and died 1882.
