14. Alexander Jr. MACK
was born on 25 Jan 1712 in Schwarzenau, Germany. He died on 20 Mar 1803.
In 1729, when He was 17 years old, he came with his father and brothers to Germantown,
Pennsylvania.
Preferred to sign his name Sander instead of his full name, which he considered
too dignified.
When he came to America he learned the trade of "weaver". He was known
far and wide for the quality of his work. The work was kept up until the time
of his death.
He was married to Elizabeth NICE (daughter of
William NICE) on 1 Jan 1749. Elizabeth NICE was
born on 5 Sep 1726. She died on 6 May 1811 in Germantown, Pennsylvania. She
was buried in Germantown Cemetery, Pennsylvania. 84 years, eight months and
one day at death. Alexander Jr. MACK and Elizabeth NICE had the following children:
