Please park at the bottom of the drive because it is difficult to back out.  We will move your vehicle to a quiet side street near the workshop.  I prefer to start at 9:30.

MAYFIELD ROAD EXIT of I-271

This is the closest motel.  There are several restaurants and two shopping centers near the Mayfield exit.

Directions from Mayfield Rd. and I-271 to our house:  drive West on Mayfield Rd. about 4.1 miles to S. Belvoir Blvd.  Turn left on S. Belvoir.  In 1/2 mile make a U-turn at the light (Bayard).  We are the 5th driveway from the light on the right.  The drive will take about 12 min.  Or take I-271 South to the Cedar Road exit and follow the instructions below. 

If you fly to Cleveland I recommend you rent a car.  If you do not drive, take a taxi from the airport to the hotel from Cleveland Hopkins Airport.  There is no longer limo service to this area.  You can get a taxi at the airport taxi stand or call one.  The hotel recommends Wendell (216) 235-7897.  I can drive you to and from the Baymont hotel if you will buy lunch.

CHAGRIN BLVD. EXIT of I-271
These hotels are near the Chagrin Blvd. exit of I-271.  Directions from hotels to our house  This is a more expensive area than the Mayfield area.  There are numerous restaurants on Chagrin Blvd., Park East Drive and Orange Place.

Directions to our house, from your hotel at Chargin Blvd. and I-271  MAP http://tinyurl.com/on8wo
1.  Get on I-271 going North (stay in Local lanes)
2. Approx 1.5 miles, exit to Cedar Road west.  Exit splits, stay right on inner circle until you are heading west towards Beachwood Place & Cedar Rd.  It will merge onto Cedar Rd. westbound, crossing over I-271.
3. Continue west for approx 2.3 miles (past LaPlace, past Richmond Rd., past Legacy Village, past Green Rd.)
4. Turn right at light on S. Belvoir Blvd (North)
5. We are 5th house on right after next light (Bayard), the first driveway that goes up a hill.  If you get to Mayfield Rd., you have gone too far.  The drive will take about 20 min.

NOTE: The Cedar/Brainard exit is vastly different if you approach it from the north.  In that case you are exiting directly on Brainard Rd.  Turn left on Brainard (south), crossing over I-271 once, then turn right (west) on Cedar Rd. (second light), crossing back over I-271 again.  Continue with 3. above.

DON'T FORGET TO BRING 5 or 6 items that you want to learn to sharpen.  (Pack sharp objects in your checked luggage if flying.)  We do not sharpen any power equipment (saw blades, router bits, lawnmowers, etc.), salon shears, nor clipper blades. 

Safety glasses are recommended and you are responsible for your own safety.  A cut proof apron and/or gloves are an option.  Bring a notebook and lots of questions.  It is a good idea to bring two checks - one to pay for class and one to buy equipment when class is over.  We can not accept credit cards except through PayPal, and to prevent fraud PayPal will not accept payments to me from my own computer.
