Snowmobile Safety Classes

The Riverbend Benders take snowmobiling seriously. We encourage everyone to take the Snowmobile Safety Classes that are sponsored by local businesses, park districts, and the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. Some of our Club Members have volunteered their time to teach these classes and have put in long hours to become Illinois-DNR certified Safety Instructors.
If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a Safety Instructor, please
contact us!

The Illinois Snowmobile Education Course consists of a minimum eight hours of instruction. These courses cover the basics in maintenance and repair of snowmobiles, proper and safe operation, the history of snowmobiling, first aid, protection of the environment, and the state laws. As in other courses various visual aids are provided to enhance the quality of instructions.
