Community Service

Our communities are losing youth to destructive influences.  We know about drugs, and our youth still fall into this trap.  This is not so much a case of the attraction of drugs, as is of the boredom of alternatives.  Vital activities for youth are rare.  Good adult examples are rare.  Television presents science fantasies that are light years from our realities.  Schools offer education in a way that puts students to sleep.  How many hands on activities do they see?  When can they build something that is real and relevant?  How are they prepared to serve industry and society?
Many of our children are unprepared for the work world.  Their basic skills are lacking in a time when far greater technology challenges us.  We are bringing our workers to this country from foreign schools.  They are likely to take those jobs back to their home countries in the future.  Our children will find themselves needing technology in every trade.  Truck drivers log on to the computer satellite link every morning.  Even fast food franchises are dependent on computer inventory and billing.
Millennium Academy can offer good moral educational activities which can capture the imagination of youth today.  A few adventurers are still reaching for the prize.  Are YOU called to the adventure?
