ENCOURAGEMENT

To my surprise, I found a number of professionals in the ranks of "amateur" rocketry:

Jerry Irvine of U.S. Rockets:
I believe the greatest need for this aspect is mechanical engineering analysis, but several areas have lesser needs.  If you want to include us initially we will need a letter of intent as well as proposed growth path or future plans.  (Mr. Irvine's company manufactures rocket kits and motors)
Bill Colburn, Aerocon:
Perfect David!  I am involved in Project SORAC, an amateur unmanned sub-orbital attempt. This is an obvious non-profit thing so may be perfect for what you are trying to do.  What kind of inputs do you require? are we speaking airframe with FEA, motor components, electronics or electronic packaging? Lets communicate.  (Mr. Colburn has written a book, Ardent Youth, to motivate students interest in math and science.)
W. Paul Blasé  TransOrbital, Inc
We have some drafting work for our TrailBlazer mission that could be accomplished in your class. Let me know if opportunities are still available.  (We  provided some limited drawing services for the TrailBlazer, a commercial Lunar imaging probe.)

NOW WHAT?

We have a unique partner just a few miles awayThe McMath Hulbert Observatory is the home of the pioneers of Solar Astronomy.  In WWII the Navy developed bomb sights for anti-submarine warfare here.  Our friends at the observatory are now pioneering distance learning technology.  Your school or church may want to learn about joining our classes by video conferencing technologies.

We have other friends ready to help you learn too.  There are professional organizations ready to help you understand the subjects you will be learning.  We have universities and space advocacy groups who can show you paths to employment or even starting your own company.  Why settle for science fiction when you can participate in  science FACT??  You can have fun and get paid for it too!  Just as important as making a living is making a life  We can help you when life is getting too hard to handle.

Designs go from sketches to physical parts as dreams become reality.
