Who Pays for Gun-Control?
You Do,  if you support companies that make donations to Gun control organizations!
You have an economic voice.  Let it be heard.  Spend your money at companies that don't attack your rights!
Here's a few of the major companies that gave money that ended up with  anti-gun groups

Sara Lee

Next time you're looking for a tasty treat on the dessert aisle, you may want to keep in mind the $50,000 the Sara Lee Foundation bestowed on Sarah Brady as one of the recipients of its annual Frontrunner Award.  The foundation gives the money to charities selected by women "seen as innovators, risk takers and national leaders in their fields", said a November 7, 1997, Associated Press report.  While Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor selected the Family advocacy and Support Program at Stanford Law School and poet laureate Rita Dove named the Program for Exceptionally Gifted in Staunton, Virginia, to benefit from the gifts, BRADY DECIDED TO KEEP HERS A LITTLE CLOSER TO HOME.  "BRADY SELECTED THE PROGRAM SHE LEADS, THE CENTER TO PREVENT HANDGUN VIOLENCE, AS THE RECIPIENT OF HER AWARD", read the report.

Is it really worth eating Sara Lee's food?

Chicago Tribune

You've all read the stories in the Chicago Tribune.  Front page anti-gun articles running for an entire week between Christmas, 1997 and New Years, 1998.  Propaganda, distortions of the truth.  The two reporters even admitted to illegally purchasing firearms.  A lot of us have called the BATF in Oakbrook, Illinois, demanding that the two reporters be arrested on Federal Gun Charges.  If you haven't made your call, do so.  Selective prosecution is an ugly thing.  The BATF needs to arrest people when they flaunt their illegal activities, even when they are reporters.

More importantly, DO YOU WANT TO KEEP PURCHASING A NEWSPAPER THAT IS RUNNING ARTICLES ATTACKING YOUR SECOND AMENDMENT RIGHTS?  I DON'T.  I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER CHICAGO TRIBUNE AGAIN.

IF WE ALL STOP SPENDING OUR DOLLARS WITH COMPANIES THAT ARE CLEARLY ANTI-GUN, ANTI-SECOND AMENDMENT, THEY WILL HEAR YOU MORE CLEARLY THAN WRITING LETTERS TO THE EDITOR.     LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD.

 AT&T

The AT&T Foundation has teamed up with the Benton Foundation, the Coalition for America's Children (COALITION), The Advertising Council and Young & Rubicam to promote a revolutionary children's campaign called, "Whose Side Are You On?"

This campaign is made possible by a $3 million grant from the AT&T Foundation, who also provides the expertise of its people and technology to help translate awareness of kids issues into action.

According to the Advertising Council, the purpose of "Who's Side Are You On?" is to motivate and inspire people to direct political action at all levels from the family to national level.

The COALITION was organized by the M.G. Fund, which was founded and chaired by Marjorie Benton, also a trustee of the Benton Foundation and a national committee member of Handgun Control. Inc.  The COALITION shares office space with the Benton Foundation who provides them with staff and other resources from its Washington, D.C. office.

Five of the COALITION's seven-member executive committee also are Handgun Control Inc. or Coalition to Stop Handgun Violence (CSHV) members.  Ten of its 19 steering committee members are Handgun Control Inc. or CSHV members, and over 20 national level organizational members are members of Handgun Control Inc.

The COALITION has four main issues: health, education, safety and security. The safety issue was expanded to include GUN CONTROL and a promise to educate the public about the risks of firearms.

A review of the organization's web sites show numerous organizations with direct links to Handgun Control Inc.  Its goals are seen in the following quotes:

"The best way to protect children against gun violence is to remove all guns from the home."

"Handguns, deadly airguns and assault weapons should be banned ... also recommends regulation of handgun ammunition, reduction of privately owned handguns and placing restrictions on handgun ownership."

"...reduce the availability of guns ... urge the President and congressional and state leaders to take strong action to control the availability of guns."

The advertisement closes with the question: "Whose side are you on?"

Many pro-gunners are now asking AT&T the same question.
