Anchor by the Bay – Board Meeting, February2, 2003 – Minutes A. 6:01 p.m. Meeting called to order with moment of silence and Serenity Prayer by Acting President Bill H. B. Attendance: Barb B. Present Bill H. Present Brian B. Present Ellie T. Not Present Gary B. Present Linda M. Present Rod C. Not Present Ted F. Not Present Shirley T.Present 6 of 9 board members in attendance, quorum affirmed. Renee L., Bill J., and Bob M. attended the meeting also C. Secretary’s Report: 1. Linda motioned to accept minutes 2/02/03, Brian B. seconded, motioned accepted. D. Treasurer’s Report: 1. Brian said that there’s $1,566.66 in the treasury. Linda M. motioned to accept, Gary B. seconded, motion accepted. E. Old Business Exhaust fan was installed, works good, has timer, it’s all paid for. F. Club Manager’s report: We need to get membership board put up on wall before next meeting. People are catching up with their dues when they can. G. Wes wants to sell his Dirt Devil vaccuum to the club for $20.00. Bill motioned to accept, Barb B. 2nd, motion accepted. H. Turtle requests that we sell gourmet coffee for $1.50/2.00 a cup. Can get it for $6.00 a lb. To get it set up it would cost $78.00 for coffee/pots/syrup for 64oz pot. Sell it in 12oz cup. I. Membership Chairperson Report Valentines dance will be held on 2/15/03 at 9:00p.m. The pool tournament will be held also on 2/15/03 at 10:00a.m. GaryB. and Dennis B. will be in charge of the pool tournament. Renee begged for $50.00 for dance decorations. Brian B. motioned to accept, Linda M. 2nd, motion accepted 6 ayes 1 naying the naymeister. J. Need to post a warning about using drugs or alcohol on the Club premises. Bill J. wants next membership meeting to be held on 3/2/03. K. Chairperson for annual membership meeting and election for officers dinner which is Linda M. says that she wants new board members to be elected by membership. There will be three new board members elected. Voting members must be dues paid up members. L. Chris A. will be welcomed back as soon as he’s ready to get sober. 1st time person must speak to manager. If anyone is intoxicated on the premises and another member is uncomfortable with it, the using person should be asked to leave. July Minutes soon!!
